Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue reiterated that the Party, State and the whole society always pay special attention to those who have devoted and sacrificed for the nation.
Mr Hue said: “The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs should strengthen coordination with relevant agencies to better care for national contributors. We need to continue to review and perfect policies and laws on preferential treatment for national contributors and ensure that these people and their families fully benefit from the policies. We also need to ensure that their living standards are equal or higher than the average level”.
He hoped that by certifying the martyrs and receiving the certificate of national merit, the martyrs’ families will partially compensate for the pain and loss experienced.
The National Assembly Chairman emphasized the consistent policy of “not letting anyone with meritorious services not enjoy the policies of the Party and State”. The review and certification of people with meritorious services to the revolution, especially for original papers and historical witnesses, are no longer being promoted.
At the ceremony, Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Welfare Minister Dao Ngoc Dung stressed that the casualties and losses of war invalids and martyrs in the wars of resistance to save the country for the sake of peace and the nation’s prosperity are endless. big.
This is also an incentive for the officials and employees in the departments of labour, war invalids and social affairs to strive for a better fulfillment of their tasks, including the task of implementing the policy of gratitude towards war invalids and fallen families.
According to Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung, from 2017 to 2022, the Ministry has coordinated with ministries, branches and localities to review and settle over 7,000 outstanding dossiers of people with meritorious services, and submit them to the Prime Minister.
General recognized and granted the fatherland diploma for over 2,400 martyrs, over 2,700 wounded soldiers, people enjoying the same policy as wounded soldiers. Those ineligible records have also been concluded and explained to the people./.
