More than 42,800 labourers sent to work abroad in 9 months
(LĐXH)- According to the Department of Overseas Labour (under Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs), the total number of employees going to work abroad in September 2021 is 776 (18 female employees) and equal to 22.12% over the same period last year (September 2020, the total number of Vietnamese workers going to work abroad was 3,508).
Thus, in the first nine months of 2021, the total number of Vietnamese workers going to work abroad is 42,818 (14,982 female employees) reaching 47.57% of the 2021 plan and equals 99.95% compared to the same period last year (first 9 months of 2020, the total number of Vietnamese workers working abroad was 42,837).
The markets attracted large numbers of Vietnamese workers included: Taiwan: 19,350 employees (6,486 female employees), Japan: 19,051 employees (8,235 female employees), China: 1,425 employees (01 female employees), South Korea: 702 employees (01 female employee), Romania: 609 employees (81 female employees), Singapore: 454 male employees, Hungary: 403 employees (98 female employees) and other markets.
In 2021, Vietnam goals to send 90,000 Vietnamese workers to work abroad, focusing on high-income and stable markets.
Last year, more than 78.6 thousand workers were sent to work abroad, including more than 28.7 thousand female workers./.
