Deputy Minister Huynh Van Ti had a working trip to Binh Thuan province about people with meritorious services to the country

(LĐXH) In June 5th 2016, Deputy Minister had a meeting with the representations of Binh Thuan province on solutions of backlog work in implementing preferential policies for people with meritorious services to the country in period 2014-2015.

Leaders of the University of Labours and Social Affairs (3rd branch), Hospital of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, the Representative Office of the Ministry in Ho Chi Minh city also attended the meeting with Deputy Minister. The receptionists to greeting Deputy minister and his group are Mr.Nguyen Thanh Tam, Member of Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman and representatives of related departments.

As reported by Department of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Thuan province, through the comprehensive research, there are 752 people who are not treated truly as people with meritorious services to the country, or the relatives with those people. After this result, the Department of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs of Binh Thuan has advised the provincial People’s Committee to issue legal documents, in order to ask departments and agencies in city, district and town level to cooperate and make sure that all meritorious people and their relatives can meet full social services and being recognized as ‘’people with meritorious services to the country’’. Some cases which was not supposed to get the services also have pension entitlement cut as prescribed. Until now, the result of solving backlog cases has achieved the following results: 603/752 successful confirm cases, reaching 80.2%; 127/752 pending cases, accounting for 16.9%; ineligible confirm 22/752 cases, up to 2.9%.

Also in the program of work, representatives of the University of Labour - Society raised the issue with the provinces on cooperation, organization of training and retraining of higher education for officers and employees who are working in departments related to the field of labor and social work, this is a relatively new field in Vietnam. In the future, the school will assist the province to build 1 houses for 01 subjects with the policy for meritorious  people. For the Hospital of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of the hospital wants to cooperate with the provinces and health care organizations to provide aids for disabled audiences, wounded soldiers in the province.

 

 

Deputy Minister, Leader of the University of Labours and Social Affairs (3rd branch) and representation of Hospital of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation are giving gifts for poor students in Binh Thuan province.

 

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Huynh Van Ti appreciate the efforts of the province to review and resolve the implementation of preferential policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution. Next, he asked the province to focus on solving the backlog record prior to July 27th ; review the list of devotees and the near-poor households, multidimensional poverty. For the retraining of employees, Deputy Minister asked the province to review and quickly train officials and employees working in the labor sector; the sector level to establish specific plans, work together to implement and improve the quality of human resources in this field.

 

 

Deputy Minister gives gifts for every students on his own.

 

On behalf of provincial People’s Committee of Binh Thuan province, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam was grateful for the working trip of Deputy Minist. Acquiring the direction of Deputy Minister, in the coming period, the province will quickly review and finalize the outstanding documents prior to July 27th; require Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs to quickly advise the PPC solve tasks under the direction of Deputy Minister. Vice Chairman also acknowledged and appreciated the comments, the proposal of the University of Labour - Society and Hospital Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, in the near future, the province will quickly coordinate and implement the plan.

On this occasion, Mr. Huynh Van Ti also visited and gave gifts to 50 children who have difficult living situation in Binh Thuan province, each present is worth 1.2 million VND; Hospital of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in Ho Chi Minh City donated 5,000,000 to provincial Child Support Fund.
