Vietnam - Laos signed a cooperation agreement on human resource development

(LĐXH)- The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) of Vietnam and the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Laos and the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos signed a cooperation agreement in human resource development on November 29.
The Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam and the Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Laos signed the Agreement.

Contents of cooperation areas include:
1. Sharing experiences in formulating and perfecting laws and policies on human resource development.
2. Long-term cooperation in vocational skills development; training Lao experts and candidates to participate in ASEAN vocational skills exams.
3. Cooperating in the development of national occupational skill standards; as well as policy development, performance evaluation system development and related activities; promoting the management and cooperation of skilled labour movement between the two countries.
4. Cooperating in training and capacity building for teachers in vocational education bases and technical training for staff engaged in labour and social welfare work.
5. To encourage and create favorable conditions for vocational skill development centers and vocational training institutions at central and local levels to cooperate, exchange experiences and link training.
6. Cooperating with Vietnamese enterprises investing in Laos and foreign joint ventures based in Laos and Vietnam in developing vocational skills associated with the labour market of Laos.
7. Support Vietnamese enterprises to invest in vocational training projects in Laos.
8. Equipment support for practical skills development and vocational training.
9. Cooperate in training Lao language for staff, teachers and students of vocational education institutions of Vietnam and vice versa.
10. Researching and implementing related projects of mutual interest.
11. Cooperation on human resource development within the regional and international framework./.
