(LĐXH)- On the afternoon of May 9, at MoLISA Headquarters, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha had a meeting with Ms. Elisa Fernandez Saenz, Chief Representative of the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UN Women) in Vietnam.

(LĐXH)- On 08 November 2022 in Hanoi, 15 Vietnamese companies received Women’s Empowerment Principles Awards (WEPs Awards) in a ceremony organized by the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and Viet Nam Women Entrepreneur Council (VWEC).

(LĐXH)- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on October 15 chaired a dialogue on the promotion of gender equality and the role that women play in socio-economic development.

(LĐXH)- It requires a stronger multi-sectoral cooperation among all parties concerned to challenge gender norms and stereotypes so as to address the issue of gender-biased sex selection (GBSS) in Vietnam. Central to this in terms of policy and programmatic interventions is to promote gender equality, increase the value of the girl child, and re-cast men’s roles in social and family settings.

The rate of women in the Vietnamese workforce has reached over 70 percent, a high level in the world, according to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

(LĐXH)- A ceremony of the national action month on gender equality and gender-based violence prevention and response 2021 was launched on November 12.

(LĐXH)- UN Women and the Australian Embassy in collaboration with ADB and ILO on October 26 launched the flagship report, the “Vietnam country gender equality profile”.

(LĐXH)- Ten Vietnamese companies recognized for advancing gender equality in the workplace, marketplace and community have received the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Awards in the Awarding Ceremony organized on 22 October 2021 in Hanoi, by Vietnam Women Entrepreneur Council (VWEC), UN Women and the EU Delegation to Vietnam.

(LĐXH)- “Vietnam commits and prioritizes gender equality despite difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic” – said Ms.Nguyen Thi Ha, Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs at the online APEC Women and the Economic Forum 2021 (Ministerial Conference) on September 24.

(LĐXH)-The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) in coordination with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and the Australian Embassy in Viet Nam held a virtual conference on the Final Review of the National Strategy on Gender Equality 2011-2020 and Implementation of the National Strategy on Gender Equality 2021-2030 on 12 August.
