Strengthening effective cooperation between ILO Vietnam and MoLISA

(LĐXH)- On June 22, MoLISA Minister Dao Ngoc Dung had a meeting and worked with Ms. Ingrid Christensen, Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Vietnam. Representatives of leaders of units under the Ministry also attended the meeting.

At the event, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung highly appreciated the cooperation relationship between the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and the ILO Vietnam in recent years.
The Minister said that the relationship between the two sides is very good and very effective.
According to Minister Dao Ngoc Dung, besides cooperation programs and projects, ILO Vietnam has accompanied Vietnam in institutional building, especially in amending and supplementing the Labour Code 2019 with new problems. That has contributed to the negotiation and signing of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung hoped that ILO Vietnam could objectively assess Vietnam's labour, employment, social security and labour market issues over the past 10 years.
Bộ trưởng Đào Ngọc Dung mong muốn ILO Việt Nam có thể đánh giá  khách quan về vấn đề lao động, việc làm, an sinh xã hội và thị trường lao động  của Việt Nam trong 10 năm qua.
Minister Dao Ngoc Dung hoped that ILO Vietnam could objectively assess Vietnam's labor, employment, social security and labor market issues over the past 10 years. ILO Viet Nam can make suggestions and recommendations for the development of Vietnam.
The Minister also suggested that ILO Vietnam continue to work more closely with units under the Ministry to handle specific tasks smoothly.
Ingrid Christensen said, for the ILO, Vietnam has always been one of the typical successful countries in the fields of labour, employment and social security.
With the achievements in institutionalization in the fields of social insurance and child labour, the Director of ILO Viet Nam hopes that in the future, ILO Vietnam and the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs will continue to cooperate more closely.
That helps maintain traditional cooperation programs and projects, while further promoting cooperation and sharing experiences in the fields of labour, employment and social security./.
