(LĐXH)- On October 26, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA), Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung had a meeting with Mr. Keijo Norvanto, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Vietnam. At the event, the two sides agreed to promote cooperation in vocational education and bring Vietnamese workers to work in Finland.
Mr. Keijo Norvanto said that Vietnam and Finland have a friendly and cooperative relationship in many areas and in many fields, focusing on trade cooperation and sustainable development.
However, there is not much cooperation between the two countries in the field of vocational education.
“Finland is ready to cooperate in implementing vocational education and teacher training programs between the two countries” - Mr. Keijo Norvanto affirmed.
The second issue mentioned by Mr. Keijo Norvanto is human resources, specifically the sending of Vietnamese workers to work in Finland.
“Finland is facing the challenge of population aging and labour shortage, especially in agriculture and health care, so it is very necessary to recruit foreign workers, including Vietnamese workers, to prevent future labour shortage” – Mr. Keijo Norvanto mentioned.
Thanks for the sharing and suggestions of the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Vietnam, Deputy Minister Le Tan Dung said that the two countries have a traditional friendship relationship and multi-faceted cooperation through exchange of high-level delegations, cooperation on many multilateral forums, people-to-people exchanges.
Regarding the proposal of cooperation in the field of vocational education, Deputy Minister Le Tan said that Vietnam and Finland both highly appreciate the quality and skill level of workers, especially skilled workers, in order to promote GDP growth and improve national competitiveness in the new situation.
Therefore, he hoped that the two sides would soon promote the cooperation program in vocational education.
The Deputy Minister also affirmed that Vietnam has a young, dynamic labour force that can meet the requirements of Finland, especially in agriculture and health care fields./.
