Minister Dao Ngoc Dung visited and gave gift for policy objects and poor children in Ha Nam province

(LĐXH) In February 15th, Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) led the delegation to visit and gave presents for policy objects and poor children with good studying result in Nhan My commune, Ly Nhan district (Ha Nam province)
Accompanying with the delegation were the Chief Office of MOLISA Nguyen Ba Hoan and leaders of some units of the Ministry; Mr.Nguyen Sy Cuong, Deputy Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly; Mr.Dang Minh Tien, Deputy Secretary-central Vietnam Red Cross. In Ha Nam province, joining the delegation were Mr.Dinh Khang Nguyen, Member of the Central Party Committee Secretary; Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman Nguyen Xuan Dong; Deputy Chairman Bui Quang Cam; leader of the Department of Labour-Invalids and Social Affairs and the District Party Committee, People's Committee of Ly Nhan district.

Reported to the delegation about economic and social development of the commune, People's Committee Chairman Tran Van Huong said that industrial production and handicrafts continued to stabilize, the value of industrial production and handicraft in 2016 reached over 25 billion VND. Nhan My commune planed to develop some handicraft products such as clothing, furniture, and construction. 2016, total per capita income of the commune was 22.3 million / person / year, the poverty rate was 6%. In new rural construction, the commune has completed 12.2 solidified infield spindle, the proportion of households with health insurance reached 74.4%, 8 primary function rooms at Nhan My commune have been in used. Nhan My was recognized as new rural standards commune in 2015 by the People Committee. in education, 100% of school-age children can go to school, no student was dropped out of school, the quality of education was improved, preschool for 5 years old children was standardized , schools of 3 communes hold the national standard criteria ...

The commune People Committee Chairman Tran Van Huong said that Nhan My was a commune with revolutionary tradition. In the war to defend our country, thousands of youths  joined the army, including 175 martyrs and 140 injured, sick soldiers, 5 comrades arrested in prison and 35 former youth volunteers. In local, there are 5 Vietnam Heroic Mothers and 2 heroic armed forces and police forces.

Speaking at the visit, the Minister of Labour - Invalids and Social Dao Ngoc Dung highly appreciated the results of what leaders and people of Nhan My commune have done recently. He stressed out that he was so proud of the local operation, which was a long process in generations of leaders to change the commune in a better way. This commune was in poor and difficult circumstances but the situation has been changing. Thanks to the leaders and scientists here, the land was in difficulties but not doomed. Therefore, the Minister believed that young generation will follow the tradition of his father, learning and striving to build a more prosperous commune.

Presents for excellent students who overcome difficult circumstances
However, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung also pointed out that through researches, the living standard of some families of people with meritorious service are fair or higher than ordinary families, but in general their lives still remain in low conditions, poverty rate is not high but many people still live in difficult circumstances. Therefore, the Minister proposed committees, local authority to support, facilitate people's economic development, education, vocational training, job placement, especially regular help and generating incomes for poor households.

On the occasion of visiting Nhan My commune, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung and Vietnam Red Cross Centre gave 10 gifts for people with meritorious service, 150 presents (including 1 million VND, small gift and a blanket) for poor households, 70 gifts (each is 1 million VND) for excellent students who overcome difficult circumstances. In particular, he gave People Committee and primary school of Nhan My commune 10 computers for working and studying purpose.

At the end of gifting part, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dong, chairman of People Committee of Ha Nam province on behalf of provincial leaders, Ly Nhan and Nhan My commune’ leaders, people with meritorious service and poor students who received the presents expressed appreciation to the warm care of MOLISA, specially the Minister Dao Ngoc Dung for these two communes. This is also the encouragement and motivation to people in Nhan My commune to develop academic excellence and revolutionary traditions of the homeland.
