Ho Chi Minh City needs around 65,500 workers in the second quarter

(LĐXH)- The labour market in Ho Chi Minh City continues to develop in the direction of increasing labour in the construction and service sectors and decreasing in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors.
According to the Centre for Forecasting Human Needs and Labour Market Information HCMC (Falmi), the city needs about 59,600 - 65,500 workers in the second quarter of this year, a decrease of about 8% compared to the first quarter.
Falmi's 2022 human resource demand survey shows that the recruitment demand in state-owned enterprises is only 1.17% of the total manpower demand; demand for non-state enterprises accounted for 89.66%; foreign-invested enterprises is 9.17%.
The demand for human resources in the trade-service sector accounts for 65.41% of the total human resource demand in 2022, followed by the industry-construction sector accounting for 33.63% and the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector accounted for 0.96%.
Surveys from businesses also show that the demand for trained human resources accounts for 86.28%.
According to the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, in 2022, the labour market in HCMC will continue to develop in the direction of gradually increasing the proportion of workers in the industry-construction and service sectors, gradually reducing the proportion of workers in the industry-construction and service sectors, as well as the agricultural, forestry and fishery sectors./.
