Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan receives Head Representative of UNHCR in Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia

(LĐXH)- On October 04th, at the Ministry’s Head office, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan had a cordial meeting with Mr. Giuseppe de Vicentiis, Head Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.
The two sides discussed on the issues of supporting social security for the vulnerable groups, especially, women and children. 
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan said that the cooperation relationship between MOLISA and UNHCR had established for many years with the succeed of the programs, projects.
During 10 years recently, UNHCR has supported MOLISA in many programs, namely, Program on “Promoting sustainable integration of ASEAN community through the ensuring of legal status of women and children in ASEAN”…
Foreseen in 2022, UNHCR will continue supporting ACWC Vietnam chairing the activites in working plan of ACWC in the period of 2021 – 2025 on review the implementation of the right of nationality of women and children according to the Conclusion of the Committee of CRC and CEDAW.
At the meeting, Mr. Giuseppe de Vicentiis, Head representative of UNHCR in Vietnam, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia thanked Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan for the warm welcome.
He said that MOLISA always be the important partner of UNHCR. Mr. Giuseppe de Vicentiis highly appreciated the results of the cooperation between MOLISA and UNHCR.
Mr. Giuseppe de Viceniis informed that the Global Forum on Refugees will be held in 2023 in Geneva (Switzerland). This is a place for countries together discussing issues related to vulnerable groups, refugees. He hopes that Vietnam will actively participate and contribute to the forum.
In response to UNHCR, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan highly appreciated Mr. Giuseppe de Vicentiis' objective comments on the implementation and results of programs and projects to support social security for vulnerable group between the MOLISA and UNHCR.
The Deputy Minister hoped that in the coming time, the cooperation relationship between MOLISA and UNHCR will be increasingly stable and achieve many good achievements./.
